We check names, descriptions and claims against the material available to us before publication, and use careful wording where traditions vary or information is uncertain. We avoid presenting one account as the only version of a custom. Readers who spot an error or missing context are invited to contact us with the relevant article and a clear explanation.

Independence and partnerships

Editorial decisions remain separate from commercial arrangements. Paid, sponsored or partner material is identified clearly so readers can distinguish it from editorial coverage. A partnership does not guarantee favourable treatment, and we do not present promotional claims as independent reporting.

Corrections and illustrations

When a correction is warranted, we update the affected text and make the change clear where appropriate. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; when they are, we label them accordingly. Illustrations are not evidence that a depicted event, object or person was documented.
